The Design of Evolution? Confused Experts

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Last night I happened to catch a few minutes of the Late Show with Conan O’Brien at about halfway through the show after watching a recording on my dvr, and what I heard about 2 minutes after I started watching just cracked me up. I decided I’d share it here on my blog. To start off Conan had an animal expert on the show and the “expert” was showing off a vulture to Conan. Conan asks the “expert” about the coat of feathers around the vulture’s neck. The animal “expert’s” reply was what caught me as ironically funny. Here is the transcription of the dialog and the video clip beginning just before the incident transcribed.

Conan: “So that beak could crush..uh–”
Expert: “Right through your fingers–”
Conan: “–Okay, again you’re obsessed with that”
Laughter…
Conan: “Look at the–I love the–Does it serve any purpose that it’s wearing like kind of a uh…a scarf around it’s neck? Is there any reason for that in nature?”
Expert: “No…that’s just the way they’re designed, I mean. I guess evolution’s brought ‘em to that point.”
Conan(Talking at the same time): “It was God’s will, yes!”

Apparently this animal expert doesn’t have a clue the difference between design and chance, or the difference between Creation(design) and Evolution(chance). I think someone is really clueless, namely the animal trainer expert that was a guest on the show. Or, maybe he believes in some nonsensical muddled mixing of the two “theories” as some people do even though the thought is completely ridiculous.  The two ideas are in complete opposition to each other, complete opposites at opposing ends of the spectrum and to suggest that both could occur is completely incomprehensible. I did think this was funny that anyone would suggest such a thing on national television. Then again we’re talking about Hollywood so maybe I really shouldn’t be so surprised.

Anyway here is the clip. I hope someone else besides myself and my wife finds this at least a bit funny.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Fossil Record

Friday, March 7th, 2008

I recently watched a video series by Mike Riddle on Evolution and Creation models of our existence, and I think Mike explains both models in the simplest way. He makes it very clear using the Evolutionists own theory to disprove it. I think Darwin himself said it best in his book Origin of Species (6th edition, 1872 p. 413).

“Why is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this is the most obvious and serious objection which can be urged against the theory.”

Darwin essentially tells us straight out that there is absolutely no evidence to support his theory. Now many evolutionists will argue otherwise that they have found these supposed links and they will refer to “lucy” and other controversial fossils that really have no basis. One could only raise one question, where are the thousands upon thousands of links that there must be to support this theory? They don’t exist!

Well you watch the video series for yourself. Any logical person can see the fallacy of the evolutionary model if they are willing to open their eyes. Those who refuse to open their eyes do so because they know what the light will do when they open their eyes; it will reveal to them what they/we all really are: full of sin. (John 3:19-21) This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

Due to Javascript I cannot link directly to the video itself. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and it’s the last video series on the page.

Trends Spawned by Theory of Evolution

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

After reading an article in my local newspaper(Grand Island Independent) yesterday, it got me thinking about our society and the trends arising from evolution being taught in public schools. The article had nothing to do with evolution or schools, it was about a couple of young adults who were being charged with child abuse in the death of their 7 week old infant. Now granted on the surface this has nothing to do with evolution. If we dig a little deeper however we see underlying issues that are on the rise in our society. One of these issues is the rise in child abuse and infanticide. The writer of the article interviewed Diann Muhlbach, the coordinator of the Coalition for Children and secretary of the Association of Child Abuse Prevention in Grand Island who was quoted as saying, “Our biggest challenge is getting people to understand a child is a valuable human being. If you have something that’s valuable to you, you take care of it. A child is a precious gift.”

I see a big problem when a child advocate says that their biggest challenge is convincing parents their children are a valuable human being. This is a direct result of what evolution teaches our young people in public schools. They teach them that we are nothing but another animal, a highly evolved animal and that we don’t have to answer to anyone but ourselves. With this kind of attitude about life it’s no wonder our young adults have no value for life or their own children. We also see the trend of abortion increasing steadily, which is another result of evolutionary theory.

Muhlbach was also quoted as saying, “We need to look at how we value children. How do we get people to look at children as valuable?” I would have to agree, society needs to look at how we look at our children. I also have an answer for her second question. How do we get people to look at children as valuable? All People need to look at children as God sees them. God values each and every life that He creates, and forms each and every being by His own hand with lovingkindness. If society looked at human life as God does then society would have a wholly different attitude.

Update (3-4-2008)

This is a forum where I state/express my views and my perceptions. This is not an open forum to debate these views or perceptions. If I wanted to debate my views on creation or evolution I would go to one of those such forums. I recently had to delete several comments due to this reason. Those people who want to discuss my views or my perceptions can either do it in a positive encouraging way or go somewhere else to do this as I will not post any comments with the intent of bashing, berating, or malice. If those people do not like my views or the fact that I will moderate every comment that gets posted publicly they do not have to come here and read my views or look at my blog.
