You say it is wired for dimmer switches or wired with dimmer switches? Most cases it is wired with dimmer switches however the lights/bulbs aren't rated for dimmer switching and you have burned up bulbs quite frequently (which was our case). LOL, our basement family room is wired for dimmer switches, even the ceiling fan. The inspector told us that the fan was not wired correctly, so we have been unable to use it.
